This Martin Custom Shop 28 Style 00-12F was built around an exceptional set of broad-figured koa selected by Tone Shop Guitars. The top, back, and sides all use premium exceptional broad figure koa, giving this compact 12-fret Grand Concert a particularly cohesive look and a very different character from a traditional spruce-and-rosewood Style 28 build. 

The 00 body uses a 12-fret dovetail neck joint and 24.9" scale length, with 1/4" Golden Era scalloped X-bracing that is hand-shaped by Martin. Traditional Style 28 details include herringbone top trim, antique white binding, a Style 28 rosette, and faux tortoise pickguard. 

A select hardwood neck uses Martin’s GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper. The black ebony fingerboard has a 16" radius, 1 3/4" bone nut, 2 5/32" string spacing, and long Diamonds and Squares inlays in select abalone.

The slotted headstock is faced with matching exceptional broad-figured koa and finished with Martin’s small Old Style Gold logo. Grover nickel Sta-Tite side-mount tuners complete the traditional 12-fret presentation. 

An ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, bone bridge pins with faux tortoise accents, gloss body, satin neck, and 5-ply hardshell case round out the build.
