This Martin Custom Shop 28 Style 00-14F was built around a Tone Shop-selected set of Bastogne walnut, paired with an Adirondack spruce top and Martin’s compact 14-fret 00 Grand Concert body. The result is a distinctive Custom Shop build that keeps the traditional Style 28 foundation while replacing the usual rosewood back and sides with a far less common tonewood.

The Adirondack spruce top is supported by 1/4" Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, also made from Adirondack spruce and hand-shaped by Martin. Herringbone top trim, antique white binding, a Style 28 rosette, faux tortoise pickguard, and Aging Toner keep the overall presentation traditional and understated.

The select hardwood neck uses Martin’s GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper and a shorter 24.9" scale. A black ebony fingerboard features a 16" radius, 1 3/4" bone nut, 2 5/32" string spacing, and long Diamonds and Squares inlays in select abalone.

A premium black ebony headplate with select abalone C.F. Martin block inlay adds a subtle custom detail up top, while the gloss body, satin neck, and polished headplate keep the finish package clean and refined.

A black ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, bone bridge pins with faux tortoise accents, and Grover nickel Sta-Tite 18:1 tuners complete the build. A Martin 5-ply hardshell case and Custom Shop Credentials Book are included.
