This Martin Custom Shop 28 Style 00-14F Slope Shoulder was designed around a Tone Shop-selected set of Wild Grain East Indian rosewood, paired with an Adirondack spruce top and Martin’s compact slope-shoulder 00 body. The result is a distinctly different take on the Style 28 formula, combining a smaller body, short scale, dramatic rosewood, and a custom teardrop burst finish.

The Adirondack spruce top is supported by 1/4" Golden Era scalloped X-bracing, also made from Adirondack spruce and hand-shaped by Martin. Traditional Style 28 details include herringbone top trim, antique white binding, a Style 28 rosette, and faux tortoise pickguard. The build sheet further specifies an Ambertone 1933 teardrop burst.

Wild Grain East Indian rosewood is used for the back and sides and continues onto the headplate. The select hardwood neck uses Martin’s GE Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper and a 24.9" scale length.

The black ebony fingerboard has a 16" radius, 1 3/4" bone nut, 2 5/32" string spacing, and long Diamonds and Squares inlays in select abalone. The combination gives this unusual slope-shoulder 00 familiar Martin Custom Shop neck dimensions.

A black ebony GE Modern Belly bridge, compensated bone saddle, bone bridge pins with faux tortoise accents, and Grover nickel Sta-Tite 18:1 tuners complete the build. A Martin 5-ply hardshell case and Custom Shop Credentials Book are included.
