About This Guitar

Designed by Tone Shop Guitars and built by the Martin Custom Shop, this exclusive 28 Style 000 is the result of our team’s visit to the Martin factory, where we personally selected the Wild Grain East Indian rosewood and developed the specifications for the build. It pairs the comfortable, balanced 000 body with premium tonewoods and Golden Era construction for a guitar that responds beautifully to both fingerstyle playing and a confident flatpick.

An Adirondack spruce top is matched with hand-selected premium Wild Grain East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering strong fundamental clarity, rich overtones, and impressive dynamic range. Golden Era hand-shaped scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing helps the top move freely, giving this short-scale 000 greater headroom and projection while retaining the balance and control that make the body style so versatile.

The GE Modified Low Oval neck and High Performance Taper provide an easy, familiar feel across the black ebony fingerboard. Bold herringbone trim, diamonds and squares long-pattern abalone inlays, an ebony bridge, Wild Grain East Indian rosewood headplate, and vintage-style Grover StaTite tuners complete a refined custom build rooted in classic Style 28 design.
