This Custom Shop D-41 takes the classic 40-style dreadnought platform and gives it a sleek, modern edge with a full black top, black ebony trim, and abalone-appointed details. It still delivers everything you expect from a D-41 — big projection, focused low end, and a shimmering top end — but with a more contemporary aesthetic and a Custom Shop level of precision.

The premium Sitka spruce top is finished in a solid black color, paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides for a balanced, powerful voice. A black ebony fingerboard and bridge keep the look cohesive, while the reduced Style 45 hexagon abalone inlays add an upscale touch without overwhelming the design. The neck uses Martin’s Modified Low Oval profile with the High-Performance taper, making it incredibly comfortable for players who want both speed and stability.
