The Martin DX Johnny Cash is a tribute to the “Man in Black,” created in collaboration with John Carter Cash and the Cash Foundation. Inspired by Johnny Cash’s custom all-black Martin from the early ’70s, this model captures that unmistakable aesthetic with a jet-black HPL construction and bold visual details that reflect his legacy.

Built with a Dreadnought body, it delivers strong projection and a full, balanced voice, while its durable high-pressure laminate construction makes it a reliable option for travel and everyday use. Signature elements like the star-inlaid fingerboard, “CASH” logo, and custom rosette artwork give it a distinct personality, while onboard Fishman electronics make it ready for stage or studio use.
