Martin J-16E 1935 Sunburst w/softshell case

The J-16E 1935 Burst brings Martin’s Jumbo body shape to the refreshed 16 Series, combining a gloss spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. The 1935 Burst finish gives the top a traditional sunburst appearance, while the rosewood back and sides receive a satin finish.

The Jumbo body uses scalloped X-bracing and a 25.4" scale length. Martin pairs the large body with East Indian rosewood for strong bass presence, overtone content and clear highs, making this configuration particularly well suited to players looking for the projection and range of a full-size acoustic.

A satin-finished select hardwood neck uses Martin’s Modified Low Oval profile. The ebony fingerboard has a 1 3/4" nut width, 20 frets and Style 28 inlays. Traditional appointments include an ebony bridge, TUSQ saddle, nickel open-gear tuners and a faux tortoise pickguard that complements the 1935 Burst top.

L.R. Baggs Element electronics provide straightforward amplification for live and recording use. A softshell case is included.
