Overview

Inspired by the energy and creativity of San Diego’s surf, skate, auto, and music cultures, the Powers Electric A-Type is a bold reimagining of the electric guitar. Designed by Andy Powers, the A-Type in Dark Gulf Blue combines a solid maple top with a lightweight urban ash trussed hollowbody for an instrument that’s resonant, responsive, and remarkably comfortable.

This model features the innovative PF42 Partial Faraday pickups, engineered for clear, punchy single-coil tones with modern edge and vintage spirit. The Neutral CamTail vibrato system—crafted from machined aluminum—adds smooth pitch modulation and keeps your tuning locked in. The firestripe Delrin pickguard and resin knobs complete the unique aesthetic, while the asymmetrical Honduran rosewood fingerboard radius offers a truly next-level playing experience.
