Designed completely by Tone Shop Guitars at the PRS Private Stock Vault, Private Stock #12508 is a Custom 24 Semi-Hollow built around woods our team selected piece by piece at the PRS factory. A quilted maple top, swamp ash back, ash neck, and quilted maple fingerboard create an unusually cohesive custom build, finished in Sub-Zero Glow and weighing just 6 lbs 11.8 oz.

The semi-hollow body pairs the quilted maple top with a swamp ash back under a High Gloss Nitro finish. Sub-Zero Glow highlights the figure of the maple while the swamp ash backplates continue the wood-forward approach through the rear of the guitar.

The ash neck uses PRS’s Pattern Thin carve and is topped with a quilted maple fingerboard—one of the defining details of this build. Chrysocolla stone birds with paua outlines run across the fingerboard, while a Chrysocolla stone Cooper’s Hawk with paua outline is inlaid at the heel. A matching quilted maple headstock veneer carries the Private Stock Eagle with paua outline.

A pair of PRS DMO humbuckers is controlled by a master volume, master tone, and five-way blade switch. It keeps the control layout straightforward while giving the Custom 24 platform its full range of pickup combinations.

Gold and nickel hardware includes a PRS Gen III tremolo and Phase III set-screw locking tuners with curly maple buttons. A quilted maple truss rod cover, PRS Signature .010 strings, and Private Stock D1 case complete a guitar that was conceived, wood-selected, and specified by Tone Shop from the beginning.
