PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition Portofino Red

The PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition brings together the Silver Sky developed by John Mayer and PRS with a four-color collection inspired by heritage Defender finishes. Portofino Red is one of four colors in the U.S.-made series, with only 500 guitars produced in each color worldwide. Each instrument receives a matching painted headstock and a unique neck plate engraved with the finish name and “1 of 500.”

The guitar uses a solid alder body with a flat top and high-gloss nitro finish. Portofino Red is paired with white plastics, continuing the contrasting body-and-roof theme that influenced the collection. The maple bolt-on neck has the 635 JM-R shape, while the rosewood fingerboard features a 7.25" radius, 22 PRS medium frets and Small Bird inlays.

Three PRS 635JM single-coil pickups are controlled by one volume, two tone controls and a five-way blade switch. Hardware includes the PRS Steel Tremolo with Gen III knife-edge screws, vintage-style locking tuners, a bone nut and nickel hardware.

An exclusive PRS ATA molded case with Defender badging is included. Along with the matching Portofino Red headstock, the color-specific neck plate identifies this guitar as one of 500 produced worldwide in this finish.
