Overview

The PRS Swamp Ash Special brings a distinctive combination of tonewoods and electronics to the PRS Bolt-On lineup. Its carved swamp ash body is finished in Black Doghair Smokeburst and paired with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. With a 25" scale length, Pattern Regular neck shape, and 22 frets, it retains a familiar PRS playing feel while offering the response and character of swamp ash construction.

The hum/“single”/hum pickup configuration pairs two PRS 58/15 LT humbuckers with a Narrowfield middle pickup, providing single-coil-style bite without the associated hum. Two mini-toggle coil-tap switches expand the electronics to a total of twelve available sound combinations, while the PRS Patented Tremolo and Phase III locking tuners complete a versatile setup built for everything from articulate cleans and twang to fuller humbucker tones.
