Overview

The Squier Paranormal Precision Bass Thinline SJ reworks the familiar Precision Bass platform with semi-hollow construction and an unconventional two-single-coil pickup layout. Its nyatoh body features a thinline design that adds natural acoustic resonance while reducing weight, paired with a full 34" scale maple neck and Indian laurel fingerboard.

The SJ pickup configuration combines a Fender-Designed Alnico '51 P Bass-style single-coil with a Fender-Designed Alnico Jazz Bass-style single-coil, providing access to both broad, warm bass tones and a tighter, more focused response. A three-way blade switch makes it easy to move between the pickups and their combined setting, while the vintage-style four-saddle bridge and open-gear tuners keep the hardware straightforward and familiar.
