The Taylor 117e Special Edition in Dark Tobacco Burst gives the proven 100 Series Grand Pacific a distinctive vintage-inspired makeover, pairing its warm, powerful acoustic voice with a dramatic teardrop burst and understated matte finish.

Built around Taylor’s round-shoulder Grand Pacific body shape, the 117e offers a different flavor from the company’s more modern Grand Auditorium designs. Its solid torrefied spruce top adds warmth and a played-in character from the very first strum, while layered sapele back and sides provide a durable, dependable foundation. The Grand Pacific shape rounds out the attack and produces a clear, balanced voice with plenty of projection, making this an excellent choice for strumming, flatpicking, accompaniment, and everyday playing.

The Special Edition treatment centers around a Dark Tobacco Teardrop Burst top, giving the guitar an Americana-inspired aesthetic that feels right at home on the non-cutaway, round-shoulder body. A matte body finish, black binding, black pickguard, three-ring rosette, and chrome tuning machines complete its bold yet traditional appearance.
