The Taylor 214ce DLX Special Edition Blacktop brings a distinctive new appearance to one of Taylor's most versatile Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitars. Featuring a torrefied Sitka spruce top with a deep black finish and layered Indian rosewood back and sides with a hand-sprayed shaded edgeburst, this special edition combines striking visual appointments with the balanced, responsive sound of the 200 Series. Taylor's C-Class bracing enhances projection and tonal balance, while a comfortable mahogany neck, West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard, and ES2 electronics make the 214ce DLX equally suited to home, studio, and stage. A Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case is included.

The Grand Auditorium body offers a versatile acoustic voice that works well across a wide range of playing styles, from light fingerpicking to full-bodied strumming. The torrefied Sitka spruce top undergoes a roasting process that gives the wood a warmer, more played-in tonal character, providing an open response with clear articulation. Layered Indian rosewood back and sides complement the spruce top while offering the stability and durability of layered construction.
