About This Guitar
Serial:
The Taylor Prototype Gold Label 710e Special Edition Nashville Burst combines the traditional character of a deep-body dreadnought with the refined construction and playability of Taylor's Gold Label collection. Featuring a torrefied Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and fanned V-Class bracing, this prototype is designed for a powerful acoustic response with rich low frequencies, clear articulation, and extended sustain. Its custom Nashville Burst finish, cream appointments, and Gold Label detailing give the guitar a vintage-inspired appearance that complements its traditional dreadnought design.
The deep-body dreadnought features a torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with Indian rosewood back and sides in a two-piece back configuration. The larger body provides the air volume and projection associated with traditional dreadnought guitars, while the rosewood construction contributes depth, harmonic complexity, and a broad tonal range. Taylor's fanned V-Class bracing with Tonal Rout, Voicing C, uses Sitka spruce braces to support the top's responsiveness, sustain, and projection. The Nashville Burst top is applied using Taylor's Roland printing process and finished in gloss, while the natural rosewood back and sides also receive a gloss finish. Cream body binding, black-and-white purfling, and a cream-and-black single-ring rosette complete the traditional styling.
The neo-tropical mahogany neck features Taylor's Action Control Neck design, allowing convenient adjustment of the guitar's playing action while promoting efficient energy transfer between the neck and body. Its Standard Carve profile, 25.5" scale length, and 1.75" nut width provide a comfortable playing feel with ample string spacing. The Crelicam ebony fingerboard features a 15" radius, 20 frets, cream Crest inlays, and matching ebony binding. A Gold Label Crown peghead with cream Crest inlay and gloss-finished ebony veneer completes the neck appointments.
The Gold Label 710e Special Edition features a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge with matching Honduran rosewood bridge pins, a white TUSQ nut, and a white Micarta saddle. Gold Taylor tuning machines complement the Nashville Burst finish, while a curved Firestripe pickguard adds another vintage-inspired detail. LR Baggs Element VTC electronics provide an amplified acoustic sound through an undersaddle pickup system. Additional appointments include a satin-finished neck, Crelicam ebony truss rod cover, and D'Addario XS coated phosphor bronze strings. A British Cocoa Bronco Taylor deluxe hardshell case is included.
