The Taylor Prototype Sunset Boulevard 414ce Studio SEB brings a distinctive visual treatment to the Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric platform, pairing solid Indian rosewood back and sides with a torrefied Sitka spruce top. Developed as a prototype, this instrument features a custom printed Shaded Edgeburst top, chamfered body edges, and unique Sunset Boulevard appointments. Its V-Class bracing, Taylor NT neck, and Expression System 2 electronics combine familiar Taylor performance features with a design that stands apart from the standard 414ce Studio.

The Grand Auditorium body features a torrefied Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides. The spruce top's thermal treatment contributes to a more developed acoustic response, while rosewood provides a broad frequency range with strong bass, clear trebles, and complex overtones. Taylor's V-Class bracing with Relief Rout, Voicing A, is designed to enhance sustain, projection, and tonal consistency. The body uses chamfered edges rather than traditional binding, with black-and-white top purfling and a printed three-ring black rosette. A gloss finish highlights the natural rosewood back and sides and the custom Shaded Edgeburst top.

The neo-tropical mahogany neck features Taylor's Standard Carve profile and NT neck construction for comfortable playability and precise neck-angle adjustment. Its Crelicam ebony fingerboard has a 15" radius, 20 frets, and distinctive 50th Anniversary diamond inlays made from faux-pearl Italian acrylic. A 25.5" scale length and 1 11/16" nut width provide a familiar feel for both strumming and fingerstyle playing, while the Venetian cutaway offers access to the upper frets. The satin neck finish contrasts with the gloss body, providing a smooth playing surface.

The Sunset Boulevard 414ce Studio is equipped with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, using behind-the-saddle pickup sensors to capture the guitar's amplified acoustic response. A Crelicam ebony straight-wing bridge, gold Taylor tuners, and faux-tortoise pickguard complete the hardware appointments. Additional details include a white peghead logo, gold neck strap button, and a Sunset Boulevard back label. The guitar ships in a tan structured gig bag with burgundy plush lining.
