About This Guitar
Condition: Very Good
Year: 2022
Serial #: NI22022189
Weight: 6 lbs 11 oz
Notes: ---
- Condition In My Own Words: This 2022 EC-256 is in great shape and ready for the stage. It’s a lightweight, resonant mahogany guitar that punches way above its weight class. It shows some light signs of being a 'player,' but it’s been well-maintained and looks sharp.
Fret Wear & Fingerboard
- Fret Condition: The 22 extra-jumbo frets are in excellent condition. These are hard-wearing frets that still have their full factory profile.
- First Three Frets (Callout): Virtually zero wear on the first three frets. Even under the plain strings, there are no noticeable divots or flat spots, ensuring clean open chords and low-position riffing.
- Fingerboard: Features a Jatoba fingerboard with a comfortable 13.8" (350mm) radius and the classic flagship flags inlays.
Cosmetic Issues
- Scratches/Dings: The Darkburst finish is very clean on the top. There is some typical light picking wear in between the pickup rings. No major dings or 'finish chips' on the headstock or body horns.
- Buckle Rash: Minor surface swirling on the back from contact with clothing, but no deep buckle rash or scratches that penetrate the clear coat. There are a few light dings.
- Finish Checking: None. The polyurethane finish is stable and glossy.
- Hardware: The chrome hardware shows very little tarnish and is fully functional.
Modifications & Repairs
- Modifications: 100% stock. It still features the original ESP Designed LH-150 humbuckers.
- Repairs/Prior Damage: No headstock repairs or structural issues. The set-neck joint is perfectly clean.
Playability & Setup
- Neck Feel: Mahogany neck with a Thin U profile. It’s much slimmer and faster than a traditional Gibson neck, making it a favorite for players with smaller hands or those who like to play fast. Thanks to the satin-sanded finish, it doesn't get sticky when your hands get sweaty, which is a major plus for live playing.
- Setup Notes: Freshly set up with 10-46 strings. The action is nice and low without excessive fret buzz. The TOM bridge and tailpiece make string changes and intonation adjustments a breeze.
- Electronics: Fully tested. The Master Tone knob features a push-pull coil split, allowing you to get single-coil-like tones from both humbuckers.
